There are several essential oils that can be used to repel bugs (Peppermint, Lemongrass, Clove, Rosemary, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Melaleuca/Tea Tree, Purification-a blend containing several of these single oils ... just to name a few). But Citronella is typically our go-to oil when it comes to repelling mosquitoes and other pesky bugs and insects. Say goodbye to those icky citronella candles that don't last and can contain bad chemicals (the same candles that have been linked to several cases of skin sores and pet poisons, yikes). Get a pretty diffuser, some water and a few drops of Citronella essential oil and you'll be golden. This pretty bottle contains approximately 250 (250!) drops of essential oil. So umm, yeah, it's definitely cheaper than buying candles. You can use any diffuser if you have access to an outdoor outlet, although we went ahead and purchased a battery-operated diffuser to keep out on our patio. Now I'm almost starting to enjoy these hot summer nights. Almost.
Only 76 days and 19 hours until fall!!
But who's counting.
