what more could you ask for

Ok, so most people would ask for sunshine and chardonnay with alcohol ...
but I'll take what I can get. :)

We had an awesome little Memorial Day weekend. Followed by Sherman getting sicker than a dog and having to go back to the vet for some x-rays and an IV. You know those people who ask me if I'm ready to have a kid? You know what I say to those people? I ask them if they've met the eight dollar dog.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Countdown to the next holiday weekend has officially begun.

  1. I'm so sorry Sherm was sick again (he must have a really sensitive tummy like Chuck?) ... BUT I love love love that eight dollar dog story!! So funny! And so true with my dog too!

  4. Sherman!! You silly dog you. Hope he's doing better now. It's amazing how much those IVs help. My dogs have gotten several of them, and they are usually better the next day. Amazing stuff! Love those glasses girl!

haha. I would definitely be the one asking for sunshine and alcohol! Just curious, is that wine any good? My sister is prego right now and I should get her some if it's good?

  7. Poor Sherman (and poor you!) Unfortunately Labs are known as garbage can dogs for a reason, renowned for the odd things they will eat. My friend's Lab eats Q-tips and cotton balls out of the bathroom trash!

  8. I agree with Taryn up there ... I've had two labs and both of them went to the vet NUMEROUS times because of throwing up, etc. They eat anything and everything! Tell Sherman we are thinking about him! Love all your photos as always.

    1. P.S. You probably know this, but rice and lean meat (hamburger or chicken) will be easy on his tummy for a while. We used to just do that every month or so as a precaution of sorts.

  10. oh bummer about the pup! after a few trips to the vet for our pup they suggested a daily probiotic chew--vetri science probiotic is what we use. it's like a treat!
sounds like you have a nice relaxing weekend otherwise!

  11. I'm so jealy of your cozy rainy day....we're in the 80s this week and I've just been jonesin' for a good gloomy day.

Sorry to hear Sherman isn't well. We've been dealing with pancreatitis in our Dane....you know what they say about dogs...the bigger they are, the more expensive they are to treat. We're on the tail end (pun intended) of FIVE weeks of antibiotics plus she has to take prilosec every day for the rest of her life.

Our other pup isn't much better on the expense side, but I love them too much to complain about it.
