a little late

I'm just a little late on this ski trip post. I kind of forgot about it. Kind of like I forgot to take any pictures while in Colorado. My average for a 4-day vacation is around 450 photos. I think I took a whopping 28 pictures on this trip. Oops. But in my defense, skiing doesn't exactly give you a whole lot of photography options. You wake up; you eat breakfast. Or in our case, you eat cheese balls. You put on 24 layers of ski clothes which includes gloves that make it absolutely impossible to even hold a camera. Then you head out to the slopes where you will spend the next eight hours riding lift chairs and skiing down mountains and in our case, yelling profanity at Dan because he took you down a really hard black which was supposed to be "like an easy blue" but was ... NOT. I may not have been the one yelling, but I sure was laughing. I think Dan learned his lesson. Do not lie to women. Then after you ski eight hours you can't feel your legs or your hands or your face. So, you head back to the condo and sit on the couch by the fire in your 24 layers of ski clothes. And you laugh with your cousins and then eventually you go to bed at 9pm so that you can do it all over again the next day. Hence the reason I only took 28 pictures.
And we even decided not to be twinsies this year.
We are getting so big.

This looked like the vacation from heaven. Even though I probably wouldn't actually ski, PURE BLISS. Because of the cheese balls of course.

  15. Ski trips call for large quantities of junk food. It is a proven fact.

  16. I do the same exact thing! Andrew takes me down a really hard trail that he said will be easy and then I scream and curse like a sailor the whole way down. I'm not one to leave links in blog comments, but I had to leave this one because it is total case in point about when Andrew made me go above the treeline while skiing in Colorado-- http://rowhouse14.blogspot.com/2012/02/weekend-ski-trip-and-time-i-thought-i.html

Seriously, worst idea ever. I've gotten a little better though since my sis lives out there and I've had some time to practice. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun though! And no I'm assuming no injuries, so that's always a good thing when you come out of it all with all four limbs still intact!

  19. omg cheese ballz!!! Looks like a fun ski trip. I'd say I have a love/hate relationship with skiing. It's so much fun! But I'm not a big fan of cold weather, and skiing leaves me knees in lots of pain! Yet, I still keep going back for more...
