life in tiny pictures

@thejcoffeehouse
This last Labor Day weekend ...

Someone celebrated being one year old.

Someone had not one, but two birthday parties. Two rounds of gifts. Two cakes. And now I am officially jealous of a one year old.

Someone pretended to be a professional photographer with her little T2i and took 400+ pictures of said one year old. Quantity = professional. Quality = not so much.

Someone celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and someone wore their wedding dress from 60 years ago (that was not me).

Someone hauled their boat out to the lake, filled it with food and beer, just to have it not start. Nothing. Motor. Dead. (I'll give you a hint: This boat owner has 214+ hobbies. One of them is boating.)

Someone stayed home with their cousin lab Hercules.

Someone fell on a boat and had to go to the emergency room for stitches.

Someone (two someones actually) caught a whole ton of fish and fried it for the entire family (that was not me).

Someone (everyone) is tired.

Someone (everyone) is blessed.

Hey, just because I have a blog ... it doesn't mean that I have to give out all the juicy details. ;) Oh and now this someone is going to go do some laundry because this someone was smart enough to take another day off.

Cheers!

  14. Stitches?!? Girl! Well I am going to assume that you are alive and okay since this post is up! But my hubby always says, "What happens when you assume things? You make and @$$ of yourself." Well it almost always happens that way! So I'm not going to assume! I KNOW you are okay! Enjoy the rest of the day off!

  20. I'm still wondering how I feel about her wearing her wedding dress again. Precious or weird? I'm conflicted. Either way - looks like you had an excellent weekend :)

  23. Sounds like you had a very nice little weekend. Besides the whole stitches thing... My guess that someone was either Sherman or Jack.

  24. Honestly, the quantity matters much more than the quality. I barely take any pictures during any social moments. And I always regret it later. It doesn't matter that you capture the moment in an artistic or beautiful way. Just capture the moment!

  25. Looks like the perfect way to spend the long weekend. And I'm really hoping you were not involved in the stitches!
