she thinks my tractor's sexy

A cute boy. A polo. And a tractor.
It just doesn't get much sexier than that.
Actually it does ... if that cute boy in the polo on the tractor is your husband.

Dan didn't go to Vegas for his birthday.
He didn't ride in a limousine or stay at a fancy hotel.
He didn't even get a birthday card from his wife (sorry Dan).
What did Dan do for his birthday? Dan rode a tractor.

We spent the weekend in Odessa, MO (I provided a link just in case you want to look it up and see all the exciting things this city has to offer). Don't everybody get up and move at once now.

Honestly though, we had a blast out in the country with the family.
Dan was happy because he got to ride a tractor.
And I was happy because I got to hang out with my dog.
Plus eight other dogs. That would be nine dogs total. Nine!
Needless to say, Sherman has been snoring for the last 16 hours.

A fun weekend was had by all.
So fun that I'll show you some more pictures tomorrow. But you have to give me a day to sort through them all. I accidentally took 200. How someone manages to take 200 pictures of a barn, a tractor and some dogs is beyond me.
I blame Mr. Bud Light. And beautiful sunsets.

  4. oh, fun!
and no, you're not strange for taking 200something pics from your destination.
it can be a pain having to narrow them down though.
i'm SO a 'lots of pictures' taker
going through some at this very moment :)
can't wait to see what other fun things you took pictures of!

  14. Awe, I wish I could ride a tractor.. is that weird? Never really been to the country..

  15. I’ve never been to Odessa, but my family has some land in the country near Branson, Missouri. I absolutely love it there! Sometimes it’s so nice to just get away from Texas and the big city and explore the country some. As a kid I LOVED riding the lawnmower around the field.. weird, huh? Hahah. My grandparents actually live in a log cabin up there, and they also had eight dogs. It was always a full house, but so much fun!

  16. Haha that actually sounds like a fun birthday!
I like simple birthdays, it's mine in a few days and my mum is making a big fuss about what we should do for it and I just want to chill out and watch my favourite DVDs. Although I would like to go on a tractor. That would be fun.

  17. 9 dogs!? That sounds awesome!!

Floyd was at camp all weekend and went to bed at 4pm when we got home. And slept until 6:30 this morning. Pups just get so tired.

  20. Mr. Bud Light is almost as evil as Ms. Mic Ultra. And yes she's a ms. because she has less calories.

  21. That's a huge tractor! Sounds like a really fun birthday present.

  25. Sounds like a good birthday to me! I recently spent a weekend on my aunt's farm and four-wheeled the day away. It was marvelous! I can't wait to see Mr. Bud Light inspired pics ;). And what I wouldn't give for a day with nine dogs! Ugh, I want a pet!

  28. Awwwww... It's ok, my husband doesn't get me cards... What's more ironic about it, is that his Mother works for Hallmark! We have loads and loads of them in the house organized. HA! Apparently the guest closet is still too far of a walk and effort. ;) xoxo A-

  29. 9 dogs...you know what that reminds me of? one hysterical bridesmaids scene.

friggin love that movie. i'd watch it with you and sherm. and if i could bring my hunter, you could bring your dan. then we'd watch them BOTH tractor the fields.

  31. You had me at tractor! Guys on tractors are darn good lookin'. How lucky you are to have a cute husband who will ride a tractor!

Good for you for taking so many pictures, it takes a lot to get some really good ones. I am guilty of taking too many also!

  32. I want to see all 200 pictures. I love barns, tractors and dogs.

  33. Ha! You guys spent the weekend in the country...we left the country to spend the weekend in the city! Your hubby looks great on that tractor :)

One more thing...I also blame A LOT on Mr. Bud Light ;)

Ok, I know I talk too much, but one more thing...I have a "she thinks my tractor's sexy" post coming soon, and don't want you to think I'm Miss Copycat, and stuff.

  34. Nine other dogs. That's a social event. Did you bathe the beast and brush his teeth? mean he doesn't wanna have stinkass breathe or lick another dogs butt with plaquey teeth.

  35. Sounds like a fun weekend -- way better than Vegas and limousines! And a good compromise.. tractors for Dan and (nine?!) dogs for you!

  36. Dan would probably like to know that people used to drive tractors to my high school during FFA week and park them on the school's front lawn. I can probably arrange something for his next birthday

  37. That's where my husband's Dad lives. And I agree, it is SUPER exciting.

At least it is for Sammy since that means freedom running around outside with the other dogs instead of being in prison inside his home. Which is totally his own fault since he chased a car a while back.....

  38. Hahaha, you crack me up! My husband and I are country people at heart, so I totally know what you are saying! Can't wait to get a glimpse at these 200 photos : )

    ReplyDelete
  39. What's that saying....you can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy. ;) Or how about...gone country. Ok, I will stop now! Bet it was a blast! 9 dogs.....good Lord that's a lot of dogs! xoxo

  42. I may or may not have found myself on a Tractor this weekend as well, I however was intoxicated and happened to stumble into a tractor store facility where I thought it would be wise to "pretend to drive" these tractors. Look they are the ones who didn't lock the gate...

  43. tractor? dogs? sounds like a win- win!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hehehe looks like he had fun with the tractor!
