better with age {question mark}

So last weekend I went through husband's phone and stole a bunch of his pictures. He loves when I do that. He takes some pretty ridiculous pictures too. Mostly of valves and cylinders. Oh the exciting life of an engineer. I really don't know how they sleep at night. I'm kidding. Who wouldn't sleep after a day full of cylinder fun? I would be asleep by 7pm. And I don't even like to sleep.
Anyways, so I was stealing pictures and look what I found ...
 Teeny tiny Sherman.
Or at least as teeny tiny as a lab can be.
And a year and a half later ...
we have this.

Sherm, you are growing up way too fast.
Not to mention, the whole "better with age" thing ...
not really workin' for ya.

Oh come on, you know you were thinking it too.

Speaking of growing up ... Sherman recently hit a major milestone. And I went ahead and shared this big moment with hundreds of readers over HERE today. I'm not really sure why I shared this. I also posted some pretty ridiculous pictures of myself. I'm not really sure why I did that either.
But anyways, if you want a good laugh, go check it out.

And if you don't laugh at my post (I won't blame you if you don't) there are plenty of other funny posts that you're bound to come across on this blog. It's no secret ... the girl's got talent. So much talent that she even wrote a book. That's how freaking talented (and funny) she is. Oh and she has a dog too. Harlow. He's marvelous. I'm not sure why I just said marvelous ... I'm not sure of a whole lot today, as you can see. I think I cleaned for one too many hours over the weekend and inhaled a little too much Clorox.
Gosh I love Clorox.

So, I know that I love Clorox.
I know that it's Tuesday.
And I know that I'm ready for it to be Friday.
But that's about it.
(Don't you like how in every post now I tell you what day it is? So fun.)

  3. Oh, cute baby Sherman!! Are his eyes still blue in that top right pic? What a goober! Love the censor bar, by the way- I keep threatening to sew Max a little wizard's hat... yep. Loved your post on The Daily Tay, too! (and commented over there- I get all confused on where to comment for guest posts.)

  4. I think you need to stop sniffing the Clorox. Just Sayin'! Love Sherman!

  5. Sherman sure was a cute little pup! But I love him big too :)

Going to check out the post, thanks for the teaser!

  6. Get those puppy pic outta here!

And tell Sherm Floyd said congrats on his newest talent...now if he could come teach Floyd to lift his leg that would be great. Though Im not actually sure that gravity (or coordination) are in Floyd's favor.

  7. How cute is he??! I love that color of coat and his face is adorable :)

  8. Baby labs are just the cutest!!

  9. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING cuter in the land of dogs than a lab puppy. My mom and I say that whoever figures out how to keep a lab looking like a puppy forever will be a billionaire! My uncle just got a brand new (black) lab pup and it's safe to say there is a mild obsession. I may or may not have a Jack/puppy photo shoot planned in my mind. Cuteness overload!!

  10. Sherman is almost as cutie as my Charis.......actually he may be the cutest male doggie in the world while she is the cutest female doggie.

Oh by the way you are doing way better than me...I have been on "it's Wednesday" tear all day!!! Now this darn week is going to be even longer cause it is only Tuesday. The only upside that for us on this side of the hemisphere Tuesday is drawing to a close..

    Have a great day!!

  17. Hahaha this post made me laugh! Love the private business blockouts.
Sherman is just so cute. He looks a little bit too relaxed on the last picture ha!

  18. Awwwww!! Baby Sherman is such a doll!! Puppies are so irresistible. Don't you just wish you could stunt their growth at that age?

  19. Gosh I love the private business black boxes hahaha What a precious pup! The other post made me laugh out loud...Pierre STILL pees like a girl when he really needs to go - but he lifts his leg when marking. Just putting on a show, that dog. "Must appear macho for other neighborhood males, must appear macho, must appear macho". I posted a recipe for homemade doggie ice cream today that I bet Sherman jusssst might like this summer :)

  20. Ohhh....the teenage sherman sitting in the lawn chair are my favorite pictures. A little baby sherman with kind of a big boy head. He looks so cute!

And seriously... Marvelous is a fine word. Same with "regal." Or "victorious." I try to say those words as often as I can without sounding lame. I will add "marvelous" to that list. Its funny. Keep saying. it. But don't keep breathing bleach. That's not good.

  21. He so cute. Suddenly they are no more puppies. Hope you can visit me too and follow. I am already a follower.

  22. I read your post about Sherm lifting his leg! Woot! I will say though, my Walter doesn't lift his leg to pee. Okay maybe ONCE in a great while...but mostly he pees like a girl :) But, the vet told me that if a pup gets neutered when they are young (6 months or younger...or maybe even a year or younger) they will most likely never lift their leg to pee...because well they never really had big balls so they didn't HAVE to lift their leg. Too much info? lol

  23. oh man he is even more adorable as a puppy :) my desire for a chocolate lab is bursting at the seams now!!

  24. there is so much private BIZNAZ going on in this post.

  30. Precioussss. Love puppy pictures! You have inspired my post for today: totally doing a pup post! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh my gosh!!! Just read the post over at The Daily Tay: Oliver JUST RECENTLY started lifting his leg too! He peed like a girl FOREVERRRR, we thought he was broken. That is hilarious! Glad to know he isn't alone.

  32. That is one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen! I always tell our sweet pup that she's not allowed to ever grow up, IF only they would listen. . .

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sherman is such a cutie!!! That face... How does he not get away with anything he wants? I tell ya... I am hoping that Cotton grows up to be a cute guy like Sherman.

And I love Taylor's blog. That girl is HILARIOUS!!! I think she might be too funny for me to be friends with.

As an engineer myself, I can tell you there are plenty of times during the day when I could fall asleep. But then again I love math. We are a different breed, that's for sure.

  34. Awwww look at that puppy! Tiny little Sherman! So cute and sweet! Boy do they grow big fast! xoxo A-

  35. Sweet widdle Shermie-poo! He was a cute little thing, wasn't he? Not so cute after couch demolishment perhaps??? Love your post over on Tay's blog too! Our Chester is most certainly a mandog when it comes to that, forget that he's white and curly and poofy. The leg lifting makes up for it, right?! Right.

  36. Have you ever noticed that dogs also have this awkward inbetween growth stage, like teenagers, where they aren't really small enough to be considered a puppy, and also not big enough to be considered a dog?

    ReplyDelete
  37. That Sherman. He should be in the movies. I also like a good blogger bitch should showed you love on your post over yonder.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh my gosh so cute! My parents got a chocolate lab when I was 20. She was so adorable! I love looking back at those photos :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Look at that beautiful puppy (and big dog...still love you big, Sherman)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh me, he is (and was!) so adorable! Love how you respect his privacy :)

  41. Sherman as a puppy... I die. Seriously. I miss having a sweet chocolate lab puppy. They're so rolly-poly, and funny.

Oh, and I laughed my butt off that your boy finally learned to lift his leg, just like his momma. You should be very, very proud.

  42. I'm melting over the cuteness that is little puppy Sherman right now! I love looking back at photos of Snoopy from when we first got him 10 (!!!) years ago -- size-wise he's only gotten longer (he is a little wiener after all) but his face has changed so much. Heading over to read your post now! xo

  44. This is too cute! I checked out your big moment... and I must say I am a little jealous. We've been waiting for Iggy to do that forever, but alas he is still peeing like a girl (and sometimes peeing on himself. fail.)

    ReplyDelete
  45. It doesn't get much cuter than that right there! How adorable!! Oh and the pictures on your guest post...flippin hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  46. We had a few labs growing up and I LOVED them all...Sherman is stinkin' cute!! I'd love one now, but the thing about Labs is...it's like having a(nother) kid! Not ready for that right now, so I'll continue to live vicariously through you and Sherman :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Pretty cool to see how the pup has grown :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Aww, little Sherman!!! Love that you covered up "his business." lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. Clorox makes me sneeze.

But that isn't important, what is important is that you covered up Sherman's private parts. It is always awkward for me to see that. So thank you.

Those puppy pictures make me want to run and get a dog right now, but then I remember the couch pictures ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Those pictures are SO cute!!! They do grow up too fast!

I want you to know I love your dog.
I want you to know I love that you are such a jackass.
I want you to know that I know I swore in your comments and you loved it.
I want you to know that you matter to me, that's all. I'm sentimental tonight. Oh geez.

  56. Oh hey, go, Sherman, go!! Love the recap of his life in pictures! Do I think its weird you love Clorox? Considering I have a thing for Windex, nope, not one bit!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Congratulations Sherman!
I love this and your guest post! As a fellow lab owner, I love it when I find other dedicated dog moms!

  58. OMG little Shermmmmmm!! I wanna squeeze him.

  59. That pic of Sherman on the couch is PRICELESS! My lab sleeps exactly like that and I always tell him that he is going to get in trouble for indecent exposure haha
