So, this is blog post #92 for me.
And last night I could not think of one thing to write about. Not one.
I've read numerous blog posts that talk about this thing called "blogger's block". So, I figured it would happen. I just wasn't sure when. And if you are a new blogger wondering when it might happen to you ... apparently after 91 posts.
And awesome timing too, just two days after I booked a bunch of sponsor ads for next month.
Don't worry, sponsors ... I'll think of something.
And if I don't? You will all get refunds. It'll be like Christmas in June!
So, because of this little thing called "blogger's block", you get to see my phone.
Correction: What used to be my phone. Until it decided to kick the bucket this last weekend. I called husband and couldn't hear a word he was saying. Nothin'. But apparently my voice was coming through crystal clear. Guys, do not let your husband hear you carry on a conversation with your dog. It's really not great for the whole love/attraction factor.
Anyways, when my phone died on Saturday, I thought for sure I was going to have to buy a new phone, which caused my cheap heart to skip a few beats.
Husband to the rescue!
He yanked out my SIM card and plugged it into an old iPhone that he had. Who the heck has more than one iPhone? Husband apparently.
So ....
Look at me!
And, as if the phone itself wasn't cool enough, I go in to work on Monday and show my co-workers my new phone and they inform me that I can get wireless on this thing. Guys, internet on my phone. This is a big deal for me. I thought for sure you had to have a package of some sort, which is something that will probably never happen for me.
A free iPhone and free internet. It's my lucky week.
So, I'm off to figure out where all the free wireless places are in town.
Just in case you need me, that's where I'll be.
P.S. I know this may shock some all of you, but I swear ... I am still in my 20s.
I am just that cheap.
Wait until you see my car. Just wait.
Did you know you can even BLOG from your phone? I know, right? The world has gone CRAZY. :) Welcome to the iPhone world!
ReplyDeleteAnd now you better get Twitter as well :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute!! You will LOVE your iPhone in all it's glory, and when you start downloading apps (GIF Cam, Pixlromatic, plants vs. zombies..just to name a few ha!) you'll be even more in heaven..i promise!
ReplyDeleteLOL i have an iPhone.
ReplyDeletemy husband hates it.
HE has a very very old phone.
because he's broken the last 3 i 'passed down' to him.
gotta love technology.
now, go ahead and get the instagram app!!!
Fancy!!!! Now you officially have a cooler phone than me. Husband has an iPhone and I have an env. And this is not lame. You could make a show your phone series. Okay maybe Im the lame one.... Fail.
ReplyDeleteThat's actually really awesome and good to know. Maybe I'll just buy an iPhone off eBay and pick up wireless? I could definitely do without the $30/month service charge for internet on my Droid. The only thing I use it for is GPS... and to play Words with Friends. Pathetic!
ReplyDeletenow that you have internet, you must get a twitter!!! Lol
ReplyDeleteThe more I read your blog, the more I absolutely adore you. Also, iPhones become addictive and you start to wonder how you ever survived without them.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was kidding.
And yes, Twitter is a must!
Yes...now you can really stalk me.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this is a step up in our friendship!
Love this!! Welcome to the world of the smart phone. I am very old fashion in the sense that I still pay all of my bills via snail mail. I keep the Post Office in business.
ReplyDeleteLMAO Tiff- this blog just made me miss you :) I cannot believe that you have a phone with internet!! Remember when I would text you and you didn't text so I costed you like .50/text! What are you going to do when Sunny dies?!!! MISS YOU!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on catching up with the rest of us in 2012. You're going to love having internet all the time. So addicting. I get cheap, though. I drive a 2001 Ford Focus. Oh yes, a focus. That thing just won't roll over and die... it does threaten it regularly, but it seems to have commitment issues.
ReplyDeleteI cant even imagine having a *smart* phone lol. Sooo many new things Id have to learn!
ReplyDeleteI dont even have a cell phone.
or a car..
Hahaha, that was like my first smart phone last year... I went from never texting because I had a flip phone, to texting with a blackberry.. life suddenly got easier!!
ReplyDeleteLove this! And believe me, I totally understand the cheap part. I just got my first iPhone a few months ago. You will love it though. Especially the FREE apps!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya...I'm always so behind the times...I fight every fad that comes down the pike, and then usually succomb. BUT, I still don't have a smart phone, and I really, really, really don't want want. I don't need more internet in my life! Now, write that down, and in about three months I'll have one. You just wait and see. :-p Hope you're having a great day Tiff - don't worry, the block will pass!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the iPhone world! Your free time will never be the same! :)
ReplyDeletebahahahaha you make me laugh so hard. you are just the cutest. but really.
ReplyDeleteK
So glad we could help make your week even better!!!!
ReplyDeletePeople better jump back and eat a hot dog cause Tiffany Einstein Jones is in da house and all up in someone's I phone chit.
ReplyDeleteHow did you SURVIVE without internet on your phone?! I am addicted to my phone. It's with me at all times.
ReplyDeleteI got my iPhone in January or so. I had never had a phone that had internet before. I can't imagine going back to a phone without it! I'm obsessed with mine!
ReplyDeleteOH. EM. GEE.
ReplyDeleteCongrats.
Yay for smart phones! Pretty soon you'll look back and wonder how in the world you ever survived without one. Congrats girl :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Laughing out loud right now. Your old phone is what the hubs and I would call a "Zack Morris phone" a la "Saved by the Bell". Welcome to Apple era!
ReplyDeletehaha LOVE this! Welcome to the smart phone world :)
ReplyDeleteI seriously laughed out loud! You will never turn back now! :)
ReplyDeleteInternet + Phone... that IS a big deal! You will be hooked to social media now.
ReplyDeleteweeeeellllcome to the iPhone world!
ReplyDeletexoxo
I can totally relate to writer's block. Today I decided to share from my heart. If you get a chance read to read my post I would love to hear what you think. :) yeah for the iphone!!! I'm still stuck in the stome ages with my phone. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm cheap too! I still have an old school, no internet phone. Enjoy that freedom!
ReplyDeleteas you can see from all your comments, you'll never be the same after using an iphone. i forgot mine at home today and i'm in some sort of withdrawal. i applaud you for being frugal. i pay off my car next month and i hope i can drive it for the next 10 years!
ReplyDeleteWhen I get blogger's block, I get too lazy to write. But man oh man sometimes I wish we could go back to the day when iPhones did not exist....Just because, life was simpler then.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, you will enjoy your iPhone...But can't we just go back to the 90's?
...and so IT begins. your love affair with your iPhone. welcome to the club, girl!
ReplyDeletexo, amanda
And, here I thought we were the same.
ReplyDeleteWe're drifting.
I think that writing about your new phone is a fantastic blog topic! I would totally have an old phone if my work didn't make me have a blackberry. I'm totally jealous of the iphone. I wish so badly to be cool like that. I am dying to see your car. It can't be worse than a red 1998 Honda Accord.
ReplyDeleteI would have been dead ages ago without my phone and internet!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan we talk about how the SAME thing happened to me this past weekend??? The exact same thing. I got myself an iPhone too...oh yeah! :-)
ReplyDeletePLEASE let's see your car! PLEASE! I can't wait :) That's a blog post idea right thurr. Yup, I said thurr.
ReplyDeleteI want to see your car. Does it have a name? Please say it has a name.
ReplyDeleteSpeechless.
ReplyDeleteYou are moving on up in the world! Look at you with an iPhone!
ReplyDeleteI've had bloggers block since about my 5th post.
oh. my. god.
ReplyDeleteremember that one conversation we had way back when we just started becoming the best of friends about how you should get a twitter and a cell phone that has internet and other stuff? wellllll. i am glad that you now have a phone with internet. this means you should get a twitter now. so that you can clog my feed up with Sherm pics.
Ooooh that's scaaary! lol and I'm only saying that because I scare myself ever since I've gotten on the iPhone and iPad craze :D Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI agree with other commenters -- we better be seeing you on Twitter now!! That's only the natural next step! xo

The phone we share (yes, SHARE) here in England is a Nokia that looks like the ones people had 10+ years ago. Only it's worse, because it doesn't have snake on it. Or the terrible stuck-in-my-head all day ringtone my now-husband then-boyfriend used on his phone, so that's a good thing. (This is not to say the U.K.'s wireless is that behind; rather, we have no one to call so we got a free phone from a friend and pay-as-we-go.) We've been mildly discussing what sort of newfangled technology we'll discover when we return to the States in a few months... but I kind of like not really having a cell phone!
ReplyDeleteWhen I get blogger's block, I do link ups. They can help people get to you and they're easy and fun! Congrats on getting a new big girl phone! :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh I'm that cheap, too! I still don't have a smart phone!
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ha! You crack me up. I just got an iPhone, but I did have internet long before that. I always make fun of my brother in law, he's 28 and used a horrible phone that's best feature is that it has a camera with like 1megapixels. it still has the number texting - NO KEYBOARD! You two!
ReplyDeletemy iphone changed my life...welcome to a new world!
ReplyDeletehilarious. Don't get addicted!! (trust me, it happens...)
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on that one! I just can not justify spending $100 a month on cell service... although I must say I do covet the Iphone
ReplyDeleteHaha, I've been looking into getting an iphone for awhile, but I'm cheap too! :P
ReplyDeleteO.K., I'm a fairly new blogger. I'll be ready for that block to hit around 92 entries. :) Glad you got a new phone. Love it when husband's come to the rescue!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with my iPhone...but not so in love with the amount of money it costs every month. Sometimes I wish I just had a basic phone, but then I get greedy and can't live without the goodness of a phone with internet.
ReplyDeleteGirl, I feel you 100%! I am just sitting here patiently waiting for the 16th when I can finally trade in my phone and upgrade to some sort of smart phone. YOU got a total score. FREE Iphone, awesome! I have spent years not wanting a smartphone... I'm finally giving in and I'm terrified. To be honest, I have a semi cheap phone and only upgraded to it for a keyboard, which forced me to pay $10/month.... SO annoyed by that. So I finally said, ok if I am going to pay a data fee I'm getting a REAL data phone.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your free wifi!!! :)
haha this had me laughing hard! I had an ancient phone for so long and refused to by a more modern better phone until the ancient one bit the dust. I lost that old fun in a cab in NYC, at the beach, EVERYWHERE... but it always managed to find me. My boyfriend said I would be stuck with it forever until I accidentally put it through the wash! He still thinks I did it on purpose. But I didn't! I swear.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new technology. Good think he had two!
OMG I don't know HOW you've made it this far without an iPhone?! I guess you can't miss what you don't know, right?!
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY had that same Samsung back in the day. It was a good phone to me! I remember thinking it was SO high tech back in college lol.
Anywho-congrats on graduating to the smart phone world. Your life will now be dedicated to your phone. Get ready... ;)
Ahhhh join the club! My phone died today :( sad day, but I too had a handy dandy trusty iPhone just laying around the house. Thank heavens!
ReplyDeletemcdonalds. go get some fries and a dollar drink and enjoy all the free wifi your little iPhone can pick up. :)
ReplyDeletecongrats on a new phone ;)
ReplyDeleteLA By Diana Live Magazine
haha. it's a bit awkward to live in these days where even an elementary kid uses a smart phone. i also own a very, very cheap phone. it has 2mp camera and doesn't even have a bluetooth. lol.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the iPhone! :)
Congrats on joining us in the iPhone world!! What an upgrade haha. Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteLove my iPhone! Congrats on the upgrade!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to iPhone land, where you never thought you could fall in love with a phone. ;)
ReplyDeleteHehe, I was like that until husband forced me into getting an iPhone by giving it to me as a gift.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I was just writing about how I don't have an iPhone like (seemingly) everyone else. And I honestly don't want one. The fact that I can't imagine life before cell phones is bad enough...but I plan to stick to my good old "candy bar" phone for as long as I can.
ReplyDeleteLol wait now you must us show your car ;)
