the cookie monster

Sherman has a new nickname to add to his other 102 nicknames.
The Cookie Monster.

For those of you who know dogs, you probably know Petco. And if you know Petco, you know Petco has a treat bar. An entire bar of treats!
Sherman can barely contain his excitement as we pull in to the Petco parking lot.
He knows we'll be walking out with a bag full of doggy cookies.
And for the next week you will find Sherman here.
Staring at the closet that holds these perfectly round and delicious cookies.
He will sit by this closet for hours on end if we let him.
Hoping and praying (if dogs pray) that the door will magically open ...
and a little slice of heaven will appear.

Oh doggy cookie ...
if only I had the power that you have.

  8. Of course dogs pray, of course. Cats chant, evil things. You can get me to do anything for cookies, unless they're semi-sweet. Gag. Gag. Gagging at 8:20 in the morning. Bye! I've got to get ready for the day, just stopped by for my morning fix.

  10. OMG! Oh eeeeeeem geeeeeeeeee!!!

I had a dog {we had to give her up because she was turning into a real... biotch before my baby was born} and we used to, well I used to go to Petco and get these cookies for her!! They smell and taste like an actual chocolate chip cookie!! NO LIE!! I ate one.. hehehee..

But she would seriously beg for more. As soon as I pulled one out of the bag, she damn near swallowed my hand!

    LOL!!

Oh, and I have a new blog now!! HAHA

  21. I love Sherms. I love him terribly. Just as much as he loves his treats. Too bad he doesn't have opposable thumbs so he can open the door. He would really give himself a leg up on life.

  31. I think his eyes are a little crossed in the last picture. I mean after staring at it, it has to be torture. I love it. Puddy in your hands over a doggy treat.

  33. oh my goooosh. he's so cute. your commentary totally matches his little face in that picture. it's a good thing we don't have a petco here. i would probably take gilly every day. and she would probably be a big, fat/happy pup.

  38. SO CUTE!!! This post reminds me of an adorable song in "Philadelphia Chickens" I think it's called "Faraway Cookies." I loved singing/reading it to my kiddos. There's a cutie doggy looking up at the cookies

"oh chocolate chip cookies so high on shelf
    hiding inside of the jar
I'm not tall enough to reach you myself
so near, and yet, so very far..."
