a wedding dress

sandbergphoto
This was my wedding dress.
It was one of the easiest things I have ever gone shopping for.
I saw it, I loved it, {I saw the cheap price}, I bought it.

But, that doesn't mean I didn't try on a few others just for kicks.
Mmmm. Too crunchy.
Uhhh ...
lovely for a church wedding, but I got married in the sand.
First thought: Am I really getting married?
Second thought: I just need that red wig from our first date and I could be ariel from the little mermaid.
Pockets are great. Pockets and a belt?
Too many gadgets for this simple girl.

But this dress was about $3,900 more than my dress.

I think I made the right decision.
And if not ...

welp, it's a little too late now.

  7. Your dress is stunning... the pocket one looks like a dress from the 80s, so I feel really good about your decision ;-)

  8. I love your dress. I had someone tell me that the more simple the dress (typically) the more beautiful the bride. I think that is definitely true in your case too :)

btw--I tagged you in my post for today. Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

  10. That's pretty much exactly how I shopped for mine... First one I tried on I loved but my mom and sisters made me try on 10 others to make sure. I walked out of there with it THAT DAY because it didn't even need alterations :)

  15. YOUR dressing is stunning.

i kinda had to laugh at the other ones - pockets and a belt - now that's a lot of gadgets. ha.

  16. You definitely picked the one for you! Although the others looked really great too:) I had a similar style of dress for my beach wedding too. I actually went with a bridesmaid dress that I got in ivory and it was so much cheaper and really had the flowing look that a beach wedding needs. Love the dress you picked out.

  18. Oh friend. A. GOOD CHOICE. B. I also watch enough Say Yes to the Dress (or SYTTD if you're you know, a super fan)to completely agree with all of your comments. I also would like to see a photoshopped version of said Ariel dress with said red wig. Please?!

  23. Your dress is gorgeous! Sometimes I want to pretend I'm getting married again just so I can go try on dresses. I work for a formal wear company from home and I used to love working in the store and trying on dresses.
