stay at home dog mom

7am is my least favorite time of the day.
7am on Monday mornings ... even worse.

I have to leave this guy after an entire weekend of extra long walks, fun trips to the dog park and adorable snuggle time.

And he knows how to make me feel bad about it.
aww ... big sis.
I went to school for a really long time. I finished college and graduate school. I worked especially hard to get good grades and learn a ton of important stuff (I know, that sentence just screams ‘grad student’).

But, all I really want to do is hang out with my dog ...
and wear hunter orange ducks unlimited hats, because those are completely fashionable.

Yes!
Now I just need to figure out how I’m going to get paid for walking, playing fetch and taking naps. Send any fabulous ideas you have to
thejonescoffeehouse{at}gmail{dot}com

I’m not kidding.

P.S. I promise not to post about my dog tomorrow. Promise.

  4. Seriously, me too! Share some of those ideas with me! I'm sure we can come up with something together!

  5. What a lucky dog! You could always start a professional dog walking business! Then you'd get lots of dog time in-although it would include other people's dogs too! Ha :)

  6. Don't make promises like that! I love to read posts about your pup!

  9. You know.. sometimes I stop following people because they post about their spawn too much. However, you know my heart belongs to Sherm, and one day you're gonna call me just so I can hear him bark. Be still my heart.

totally kidding. I don't even wanna know. he probably sounds like a semi, which is what my neighbors dog sounds like who I yell and swear at every single time I hear him.

    We won't discuss your hat.

  11. oh my gosh. my hubby and I were just talking about that yesterday. I told him I wanted to be a stay at home dog mom and just hang out with Cooper all the time.
I'll have my master's soon too so I could join you on the well-educated-stay-at-home-dog-mom bandwagon too :)

  12. I got to be a stay-at-home-dog mom for our first year of living in England. When people would ask me what I did all day, I would just say "hang out with the pooches" and they'd look at me like I was insane- but it was THE BEST! We'd go on long walks, go to the nearby abbey grounds, go to the park... now I feel guilty because I work part time, but they still get to go out on long walks almost every day. So how to be a SAHDM? Move to a country that you can't find a job in! I'm just trying to get my dog enrolled as a toy-tester, so we can get those for free.

  16. So I pretty much love Sherman. He makes me want a big dog. Maggie probably weighs as much as his tale! Being a stay at home dog mom sounds fabulous but I doubt my husband will go for that. =/

  17. i don't blame you- leaving a dog, a person, or your bed is awfully tuff on monday mornings. And forget the idea of not wearing that hat- you look adorable in it! xo

  18. I realllllly wish I could be a stay at home dog mom. I actually have had this discussion with my boyfriend before. Buttt, I did the whole grad school thing, too, so I have to work to pay off those pesky student loans. *sigh* Maybe someday :)

  19. We are the same. We serioulsy are. Everytime I leave my dogfriend for an evening of class to, you know, learn the most important things ever, I feel. so. bad.

Boyfriend thinks I'm silly. "It's just a dog!" he says. UM. Excuse me?! He is a human that just looks like a dog and is my best friend. I am glad you understand hahha

  30. Just found your blog today, and have had so much fun visiting around here! I've got two furbabies myself, and I adore them :-). Sherman is just as cute as he could be, and I can totally understand why you don't want to leave him! Hmmm...here's my idea: maybe you could become a professional dog walker - that way you could take Sherm to work with you! Ha! Hope your day is fabulous...
