our weekend

There is nothing better than a rainy Sunday.
And boy did it rain.
And rain.
Husband was out and about attending yet another cooking class.
Or having an affair. One or the other.
I kid, I kid.
So, I decided to read a little photography 101 (thanks Shannon the photographer for letting me borrow this awesome book).
I got to about page two ...
before I decided I needed some tea.
 And a snack.
And then we took a nap.

Maybe I'll get to the photography book next weekend.
Maybe.

  1. naps and rainy sundays go hand in hand without a doubt. I think your photography class is paying off though - I can't make a cup of tea look that good ;)

  2. Great pictures!

It was sunny here, for the most part, this weekend. I still spent it inside, reading :) Damn allergies.

  6. I would be the same way! I love to know how to do things but when it comes to reading about it and researching I get distracted very easily... Sounds like you had a great afternoon anyways though :)

  8. Aaah, a nap! That's what I missed out on yesterday. We decided to watch an incredibly stupid movie while the kids were napping yesterday afternoon... It was so stupid I can't even remember what it was called. Something about kids getting powers. I don't know. It was lame. lol

  10. Mrs. E. sent me. And, I arrived and found that we are both studying the same book, Understanding Exposure. Do you find that you have to go back and reread sections? I do.

  21. Looks like a nice cozy way to spend a rainy day.

Also, I'm not sure where you got those almonds, but I can tell they'd be amazing! I'll bet they smell "smokey." Is that weird? Apparently, I'm hungry :)

  25. I just got a t3i and I'm trying to figure it out too!
These look great though! Love the shallow depth of field ones. (learned that word yesterday and literally just googled it again to make sure...=blurry background)
Do you have it set on the green auto setting? Or how are you controlling the focus so well?
:) new and loving the blog!
